Ahead of his 32nd birthday, American-born Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, disclosed his plans to support orphanages and a charity that fights against drug abuse and addiction in youths.
The 31-year-old music star will turn 32 on the 21st day of November, 2024. In 2021, Davido made headlines on his birthday after he sought donations on his birthday from his friends and colleagues to ‘clear his Lamborghini’. His friends including the likes of Cubana Chiefpriest, Obi Cubana, and other celebrities donated the total sum of two hundred million Naira.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Davido revealed that the money will be donated to select orphanages in Nigeria. He went ahead to donate fifty million Naira rounding the total sum of money to N250m. After the process of selecting the orphanages, Channels reported that the superstar fulfilled his pledge and has started disbursing the funds to the orphanages.
Few hours ago, the ‘Unavailable’ star took to his X account to reveal his plans to donate the sum of N300m to orphanages and a charity that combats the menace of drug abuse and addiction amongst young people.
“Once again my birthday this year we Donating to ophanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m . Details to follow soon”, he wrote.
